This app purports to let users “change the native app icons without root,” claiming that it can create an icon package reproducing all installed apps in one click.
However, it’s more likely that hackers will use this app for nefarious purposes instead of taking on the trouble of rooting their phones. This requires a third-party download and is specifically designed to give you full control over your device–just so they can change some random app icons.
This is because MakeAppIcon lets them hide malware inside of other apps on your phone, which may then steal information from those targeted apps. If you’re not rooted, you won’t be protected from anything that happens once this hidden malware gets into your system.
